The institute has developed 14 e-modules for the EU, Directorate General of Justice.

These training modules concern intercultural competence and treat with the question how to deal with people from a migration background from different countries. The participants involved in e-SPICES develop and provide blended-learning training for the public sector dealing with migrants to enlarge their intercultural competences.

The Università degli Studi di Perugia is one of the oldest universities in Italy and also in Europe. Today, the University of Perugia has more than 35.000 students enrolled in its undergraduate and post-graduate programs. The institution participates in various European and other international programmes. The team involved in the e-SPICES Learning Partnership deals with service providers who are specifically concerned with migrants in different public contexts and generally all sort of “adults-in-mobility” (Erasmus students and teachers, frequent tourists etc.). The transnational coordinator of e-SPICES, Gabriella B. Klein, is Associate Professor for Sociolinguistics at the Faculty of Educational Sciences. Her field of research focuses on interpersonal and intercultural communication (ethnographic Conversation Analysis).

Placowka Ksztalcenia Ustawicznego EST - POLAND


EST Lifelong Learning Centre is a Polish continuing education provider for youth and adults founded in 1994. EST works in the following fields: foreign language courses, ICT workshops, communication skills courses, integration of disadvantaged groups into the labour market.

This is a comprehensive programme teaching key competences to vulnerable social groups. The following aspects of the EST expertise put the organisation in a strong position to take the responsibilities in the e-SPICES project:


  • EST has a substantial experience in evaluating projects co-funded by Community programmes relevant for the e-SPICES evaluation work package

  • The centre has established a network of contacts with adult education umbrella organisations in Europe which can facilitate the dissemination of the project results

  • EST has gathered experience in training interpersonal communication skills to administrative staff of educational institutions; this can be useful in drafting the e-SPICES training programme

ANCI - Confederazione delle Autonomie Locali - ITALY

Association of Umbrian public authorities

 

L'ANCI, Associazione Nazionale Comuni Italiani, è una associazione unitaria a carattere nazionale.

Per ragioni storiche l’Associazione fu soppressa nel 1927 e fu ricostituita solo all’indomani del secondo conflitto mondiale nel settembre del 1946 (per "la conquista e la difesa delle libertà municipali in ogni manifestazione di vita e della attività comunale").

I Comuni che oggi ne fanno parte sono più di 6000.

Le finalità principali dell’ANCI sono la tutela e la diffusione dell’affermazione del principio dell’autonomia locale, riconosciuto nella Costituzione al Titolo V.

L’Anci svolge la sua attività in diversi aspetti della vita delle autonomie: gestione amministrativa, finanza locale, assetto del territorio, salvaguardia della salute, organizzazione dei servizi pubblici e si impegna nella coordinazione delle attività di cooperazione allo sviluppo e dei relativi rapporti internazionali. Inoltre, ha il compito di rappresentare e tutelare le autonomie locali di fronte agli organi dello Stato sia tramite le audizioni sia con la partecipazione diretta a Commissioni e organi dei Ministeri o di altri enti pubblici (ad es. per la contrattazione collettiva per il personale degli enti locali).

 

L'ANCI Umbria è nata nel 1974 (nel 1999 è stato celebrato il 25° anno della sua fondazione) e conta l'adesione di 88 Comuni su 92. Negli ultimi anni l'attività si è fatta piuttosto intensa e di ausilio per gli enti locali, un punto di riferimento al quale rivolgersi per coordinare il lavoro e le esigenze delle autonomie, che cura l'informazione, lo studio e l'evoluzione delle problematiche che riguardano la vita dei Comuni; l'ANCI è chiamata ad avere parte attiva, nella fase di elaborazione di alcune leggi regionali ed è in continuo contatto e collaborazione con tutti gli organi istituzionali della Regione e delle Province.

Importanti sono i progetti di cooperazione internazionale che da tempo, congiuntamente ad altre Anci regionali, l'associazione umbra sta portando avanti. Si tratta di progetti di Cooperazione che sono rivolti verso paesi colpiti da calamità naturali,conflitti etnico religiosi, guerre civili ed estrema povertà.
